OUR STORY

A different way to think about property.

To Nadya Merchant, a property is more than the place you live. It may represent years of work. Family security. Income potential. Equity. Flexibility. A future inheritance. And sometimes, simply the ability to choose what happens next. That is why Lighthouse was created around a simple belief:

Before giving up an important asset, understand what may still be possible.

A cozy living room filled with potted plants, a bookshelf, a gray sofa, and a wooden dining table with chairs, illuminated by natural light from a window with white blinds.

Experience changed the way Nadya sees property.

For years, Nadya worked in real estate and owned property herself.

She experienced first-hand how property could provide more than shelter—through rental income, accumulated equity and financial flexibility.

Later, when her personal circumstances changed, she had to sell.

And she discovered something that stayed with her:

Selling was easier than replacing what had been sold.

Once an asset was gone, so were many of the options that came with owning it.

That experience reshaped the way Nadya thinks about property today.

She believes owners deserve an opportunity to slow down and explore whether there is another viable path before selling becomes the default answer.

Not every property should be kept forever.

But every major property decision deserves clarity before action.

The name Lighthouse came to Nadya during a period when uncertainty, financial pressure and instability were weighing heavily on many families.

A lighthouse became the perfect metaphor.

It does not promise that there will never be a storm.

It provides a point of reference through it.

Light represents clarity.
The lighthouse represents guidance.
The house represents what we help you protect, manage and understand.

Guidance when circumstances feel like a storm.

Preserve value. Create options. Move with wisdom.

We believe good property guidance should begin with your interests—not with a transaction.

That means understanding what matters to you today while considering what the decision may mean tomorrow.

Guidance

You should not have to navigate a complex property decision alone.

Integrity

Good guidance should be honest, transparent and free from unnecessary pressure.

Clarity

Complex property problems should be explained in language you can actually understand.

Stewardship

A property carries financial, emotional and sometimes generational value. It should be treated accordingly.

Professionalism

Details matter. From the first conversation to ongoing management, you deserve dependable service.

We are aligned with the problem—not the transaction.

We don't list your property.
There is no automatic incentive to tell you that selling is the answer.

We look beyond one lever.
Property, income, accessibility, lifestyle and family needs can all be part of the conversation.

We build around your situation.
Guidance is customized rather than pulled from a one-size-fits-all playbook.

We know when specialists are needed.
Where appropriate, Lighthouse connects clients with qualified mortgage, legal, tax, construction, appraisal and real-estate professionals.
